aiSongs, as you can immediately guess from the title, is a "battlefield", or rather a musical discussion in which Brave New Worlds, to the sound of progressive rock, throw themselves, it must be said with a pinch of recklessness but also with a lot of courage, into the great debate about artificial intelligence and its use, and dangers, in our society. The result is a very rich and layered album, as in the best tradition of the Roman band that, thanks to a successful mix of progressive rock with electronic inlays, gives us a real journey through extremely capital themes, such as ecology, solitude, emigration, alienation and the like.
From this real melting pot, and ideas and sounds, small/great gems emerge, such as "Children of Tomorrow", in my opinion, a great piece that fully embodies the spirit and philosophy of this album. Album that, I would like to point out, is not always so cohesive and successful or, better said, so focused. Sometimes, and this is the case of a handful in the first part of "aiSongs", the multiple references, the many themes covered, the numerous levels of analysis end up "weakening" the song a bit, which loses both form and substance.
However, when, and it is the majority of the time, the two things go hand in hand, powerful and intriguing tracks come out, which need time and attention to be fully enjoyed but which will give you great satisfaction. Especially if you are human beings and not artificial intelligences, of course.
