iSignals is the third conceptual album, focused on the anxieties of modern man (paranoia, melancholia, anguish, mood disorders ...) made even more evident by the dramatic events of the international context. An album that winks at the sci fi atmosphere already from the title track "iSignals" or in "Mirror Shades".
The disc required about a year of time starting from the creation of the previous .Net Of Illusions which gave us considerable satisfaction in terms of reception and reviews.
"A desperate and for this reason beautiful album I advise you, if you want to get an idea, however sudden, even quite complete, of the themes and atmosphere of this work, to go and listen to track number nine, or Trapped which, apart from being by far my favorite , is also the one that, in my humble opinion, best describes "what" iSignals by Brave New World is. This progressive-rock disc, hybridized with electronics, in fact, explores the most disturbing and dark part of the human subconscious, with a good dose of attention to the introspection of the present time, as the band itself points out. "Centered on the anxieties of modern man (paranoia, melancholia, anguish, mood disorders ...) made even more evident by the dramatic events of the international context".
Now, if the lyrics didn't particularly strike me (attention, I judge them good but I wouldn't indicate them among the real strengths of the disc), I really appreciated the musical restitution of the original concept, with deep and serious sounds, precisely dark and which, in my opinion, are well able to describe the themes of concern expressed on the album.
It's definitely not a simple album, you need to pay attention and give it time and attention. However, on balance, despite a final part that insists a little too much on the same themes, we are talking about an interesting and successful work. And that speaks "damn" of the present time, alas." - Mattia Nesto
Waiting for the forthcoming release of the second BRAVE NEW WORLDS album - called ".Net Of Illusions" - we are pleased to let you listen to this progressive rock song with a particular name: "DSTRY 'U' WRK"
"Dear Fabio, this spring I cleaned up the archive. I found, to my surprise, that I still have the original tracks we recorded in 1974/75. I discovered them in an old archive folder which also contained some photos. I tried to put everything on my computer and mix the pieces, I'm sure you will appreciate how much I am attaching you to this letter. Let me know what you think!!
